Job Title: Jewellery Specialist Location: Singapore Reporting to: Managing Director Department: Jewellery Position Summary: Build and establish AstaGuru’s Jewellery category in Singapore and the Southeast Asian market by driving sourcing, developing supplier networks, and creating a strong pipeline of high-quality consignments. The role focuses on identifying rare and valuable pieces, cultivating relationships within the luxury ecosystem, and laying the foundation for long-term category growth, with sales as a secondary outcome. Primary Responsibilities ● Identify, source, and curate high-value, rare, and collectible jewellery pieces across regional and international markets ● Build and expand a strong network of jewellers, collectors, dealers, and luxury stakeholders in Singapore and Southeast Asia ● Develop the jewellery category from the ground up, establishing sourcing strategies and market positioning ● Research, evaluate, and assess jewellery pieces for authenticity, rarity, and auction potential ● Generate and manage a pipeline of consignments for future auctions and private sales ● Engage with HNI/UHNI clients,family offices, and collectors to build long-term sourcing relationships ● Track market trends, pricing benchmarks, and emerging opportunities within the luxury jewellery segment ● Collaborate with internal teams(research, cataloguing, marketing) to build strong category narratives and presentations ● Support catalogue creation through insights, sourcing inputs, and market knowledge ● Represent AstaGuru at industry events, exhibitions, and private client meetings ● Travel within the region as required for sourcing and relationship building Qualifications ● 7+ years of experience in luxury jewellery, sourcing, or category development ● Strong exposure to international or Southeast Asian luxury markets preferred ● Holder of GIA/FGA or similar ● Bachelor’s degree required ● MBA or specialization in Luxury Management preferred Competencies & Skills ● Deep knowledge of fine jewellery,luxury markets, and sourcing practices ● Strong network within the jewellery and luxury ecosystem ● Excellent research and evaluation skills ● Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills with a polished professional presence ● Strategic thinking with the ability to build categories from scratch ● Understanding of HNI/UHNI client behaviour ● Independent, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset ● Strong communication and presentation skills ● Proficiency in MS Office tools
