Job Summary The Managing Director (MD) is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall management of Axis-Tec Pte Ltd. The MD will drive the company's vision, business growth, operational excellence, financial performance, and technological innovation while strengthening Axis-Tec's position as a leading provider of precision engineering, industrial automation, semiconductor testing, and advanced manufacturing solutions. The role is accountable for achieving sustainable business growth, expanding regional and global markets, fostering customer relationships, and ensuring the organization delivers innovative, high-quality engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership Develop and execute the company's long-term strategic and business plans. Identify new market opportunities, emerging technologies, and industry trends to maintain competitive advantage. Lead business transformation initiatives aligned with the company's vision and objectives. Present strategic recommendations and business performance updates to the Board of Directors. Business Development Expand the company's presence in semiconductor, electronics, industrial automation, and advanced manufacturing sectors. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, strategic partners. Drive revenue growth through new customer acquisition, Asia-Pacific market expansion, and strategic partnerships. Represent the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events. Operational Excellence Oversee all business operations including Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, and Customer Support. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer specifications. Promote continuous improvement, operational efficiency, Lean Manufacturing, and quality excellence. Ensure compliance with ISO standards, workplace safety regulations, and statutory requirements. Technology & Innovation Drive innovation in automation systems, semiconductor testing technologies, wafer-level solutions, optical systems, and precision engineering. Support investment in research and development (R&D) to strengthen the company's technological capabilities. Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and engineering excellence. Financial Management Develop and manage annual budgets and long-term financial plans. Monitor profitability, cash flow, investments, and operational costs. Ensure sustainable financial performance and shareholder value. Manage financial risks and ensure effective corporate governance. Leadership & Talent Development Build and lead a high-performing executive leadership team. Develop succession planning and leadership capability across the organization. Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and performance-driven culture. Champion employee engagement, talent retention, and professional development. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Manufacturing, or a related discipline. MBA or postgraduate qualification is preferred. Experience Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience in engineering, industrial automation, precision engineering, semiconductor equipment, or advanced manufacturing. Proven experience leading business growth and organizational transformation. Strong commercial acumen with experience in international business development. Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and manufacturing teams. Demonstrated success in strategic planning, financial management, and operational leadership.
