KYC Lead

A growing financial institution in Singapore is looking for an experienced KYC Operations professional to lead its KYC team. Reporting to the KYC Operations Lead, the successful candidate will act as the accountable service owner for KYC-related activities across the customer lifecycle which includes customer outreach, periodic and event-triggered reviews, and customer exits, and will help shape the direction of the KYC Operations function as the business grows. Key responsibilities include supporting the organisation's growth by partnering with stakeholders across the business, building out the systems, processes and people within KYC Operations (including driving efficiency gains through automation), and leading continuous improvement across end-to-end customer lifecycle management. The role also oversees KYC activities against agreed service metrics across local and offshore teams, advises internal stakeholders on KYC and regulatory classification requirements for new customer segments, markets or products, and drives hiring and development of a customer-facing KYC team. The ideal candidate will bring at least 10 years of hands-on, customer-facing KYC experience with corporate or business banking clients, including team management experience, along with a strong grasp of customer due diligence and product fulfilment across the customer lifecycle. Fluency in English and Chinese is required to communicate with English- and Chinese-speaking corporate clients, support customer outreach, review customer documentation, and collaborate with stakeholders and offshore teams across the region., along with a track record managing local and offshore operations teams.
