About this role

Key Responsibilities Strategic & Commercial Leadership Develop and execute the regional business plan aligned with group strategy, with focus on growth in the Far East / APAC markets. Drive revenue expansion through new customer acquisition, strategic partnerships, and expansion of service offerings. Oversee pricing strategy, commercial proposals, tenders, and key account management for government agencies, inspection centres, OEMs, and major fleet operators. Identify emerging market trends in vehicle inspection technology (e.g., automated test lanes, brake/axle load systems, emissions testing, regulatory compliance) and recommend innovations or product localization. Operational Excellence & Technical Oversight Lead and manage end‑to‑end operations including installation, commissioning, maintenance, calibration, MRO activities, and technical support services. Ensure that test equipment and solutions meet stringent safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements across diverse markets. Oversee supply chain coordination, local stockholding, logistics, workshop/workbay management, and reliability of service delivery. Implement continuous improvement frameworks to reduce turnaround times, enhance customer satisfaction, and maintain high equipment uptime. P&L Management & Governance Full responsibility for financial performance: budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and profitability analysis. Implement disciplined financial governance, ensuring alignment with group reporting standards. Monitor business risks, quality standards, and warranties; ensure compliance with local regulations and industry certifications. Customer, Partner & Stakeholder Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers: inspection centres, certification authorities, government transport agencies, vehicle manufacturers, and distributors. Strengthen relationships with suppliers and technical partners to ensure reliable product delivery and service availability. Represent the company in regional forums, trade shows, regulatory discussions, and industry associations as required. People Leadership & HR Development Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team (engineering, sales, support, service, admin). Foster a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence. Drive talent development, succession planning, skills upgrading, and performance management. Ensure alignment with group HR initiatives and uphold the company’s values and ethical standards. Compliance, Quality, and Safety Ensure all operations adhere to ISO standards, safety policies, and local regulatory guidelines. Maintain robust documentation, audit readiness, service records, and compliance with equipment regulatory frameworks. Drive quality improvement programs and embed a high‑reliability culture in technical operations. Required Qualifications & Experience Experience Minimum 10–15 years in automotive technology, vehicle inspection equipment, industrial machinery, aerospace/aviation systems, MRO, or related engineering sectors. Proven track record in leading a technical B2B organisation with P&L responsibility. Experience in working with government tenders, transport regulators, and inspection frameworks (preferred). Strong background in after‑sales, field service, or technical service operations. Technical Skills Understanding of vehicle testing technologies (e.g., brake dynamometers, suspension testers, emissions systems, diagnostic equipment). Ability to understand engineering specifications, compliance requirements, and calibration/maintenance standards. Familiarity with APAC automotive regulations is a significant advantage. Leadership & Soft Skills Strategic thinker with strong operational execution capability. Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills. Strong leadership presence with experience managing cross-functional teams. High integrity, resilience, and ability to operate in a lean and agile environment.
