About this role

Leader in data centre development , delivering high-performance, mission-critical facilities across APAC. They are seeking a Head of Regional Engineering – Data Centres to lead engineering practices, standardise design approaches, and drive innovation across greenfield and brownfield projects. This is a strategic leadership role , overseeing multidisciplinary teams, guiding design and delivery, and ensuring operational efficiency, sustainability, and technical excellence across multiple projects and countries. Leadership & Strategy Lead and mentor a team of engineering specialists, project managers, and energy managers across the region. Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence . Participate in strategic planning with senior stakeholders to align engineering outcomes with business objectives. Support the attraction and recruitment of top-tier engineering and project management talent. Data Centre Development & Engineering Oversight Oversee greenfield and brownfield data centre projects from site selection, design, tender, construction, to commissioning. Engage and manage consultants (Architect, M&E, C&S, Energy, etc.) , overseeing design development, cost estimates, and tender processes. Provide technical leadership for complex M&E systems, identifying single points of failure and resolving engineering challenges in cooling, power, and mission-critical systems. Drive research and adoption of new technologies and construction methodologies to improve energy efficiency, water usage, operational productivity, and sustainability . Project Delivery & Financial Oversight Review and monitor project budgets, cost control, and financial performance . Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business and customer requirements . Implement initiatives to optimise PUE, WUE, carbon footprint , and operational efficiency across the data centre portfolio. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Project Management, Architecture , or related discipline. 15+ years of professional experience, including 10+ years in data centre development and engineering . Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing stakeholders across multiple projects/regions. Strong M&E expertise with experience in power, cooling, and mission-critical systems .
