Purchaser / Technical & Purchasing Executive, Singapore

Job Description We are looking for a proactive Purchaser to support procurement and technical operations for a fleet of container vessels. This role plays a key part in ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of spares, stores, and services, supporting vessel readiness, compliance, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end procurement activities including sourcing, RFQs, vendor selection, and purchase order processing Coordinate delivery of spares, stores, and services to vessels globally in a timely and cost-efficient manner Liaise closely with vessels, superintendents, and operations teams on procurement requirements Monitor supplier performance, conduct price comparisons and negotiations to ensure value and quality Track and manage logistics arrangements (air/sea/land transport) for vessel supplies Verify invoices against quotations and ensure timely processing within credit terms Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, reports, and vessel expenses Support technical teams on dry docking, repairs, and off-land servicing coordination Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and maritime standards Maintain proper documentation of vessel certificates, records, and technical data Requirements Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field Minimum 3–5 years of experience in marine procurement / ship management Familiarity with operations, Class/Flag requirements, and shipboard processes Strong understanding of procurement processes and global supply chain logistics Proficient in MS Office and procurement / fleet systems (e.g., Danaos or similar) Good negotiation, coordination, and stakeholder management skills Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Additional Information Only shortlisted candidates will be notified All applications will be treated with strict confidentiality
