Accountant

Job Summary Maintain and manage comprehensive accounting records and financial reporting for Food & Beverage operations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency to support business decision-making and operational cost control. Responsibilities Maintain accurate accounting records for all Food & Beverage operations to ensure financial integrity. Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports and management accounts to support operational and strategic decisions. Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions to maintain up-to-date financial data. Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, customer accounts, and inventory records to ensure accuracy and completeness. Monitor food and beverage sales, revenue, expenses, and profit margins to track financial performance. Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and journal entries to document financial transactions. Monitor inventory costs, food costs, beverage costs, and operational expenses to control expenditures. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for Food & Beverage operations to support business growth. Process payroll and ensure timely payment of salaries and statutory contributions where applicable to comply with regulations. Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers, and government authorities during audits and financial reviews to facilitate smooth processes. Prepare cost analysis reports and recommend measures to improve cost control and operational efficiency. Maintain confidentiality of financial information while ensuring accurate financial records. Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by management. Preferred competencies and qualifications Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the Food & Beverage or hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, inventory accounting, food cost control, and taxation. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Strong analytical, numerical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality of financial information.
