Job Summary The Assistant Cook supports meal preparation and cooking under the Head Cook or Chef while maintaining a clean, organized kitchen that meets food safety standards. Responsibilities Assist the Head Cook or Chef in preparing and cooking meals to meet quality and safety standards Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization to comply with food safety regulations Apply basic food preparation and hygiene practices to ensure safe handling of ingredients Collaborate effectively with team members to support smooth kitchen operations Stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights to perform kitchen tasks efficiently Preferred competencies and qualifications Four years of experience working in a kitchen or food service environment is an advantage
