About the Role We are seeking a DevOps / Release Engineer to manage CI/CD pipelines, Salesforce release processes, and application lifecycle management. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient software deployments while maintaining version control, environment governance, and release quality across the Salesforce platform. Key Responsibilities Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using a shift-left approach to improve software quality and deployment efficiency. Implement and manage source code repositories, automated unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and security scanning throughout the software delivery lifecycle. Manage Salesforce deployments using tools such as Salesforce DX (SFDX), Change Sets, or equivalent deployment frameworks. Oversee release management, version control, and environment administration, including sandbox and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environments. Coordinate Salesforce platform releases, assess release impacts, and support deployment planning, rollback strategies, patch releases, and post-deployment activities. Monitor and improve deployment processes to ensure reliability, traceability, and auditability. Collaborate with development, QA, and project teams to ensure smooth release planning and production deployments. Maintain documentation and deployment standards in accordance with organisational governance and industry best practices. Continuously improve DevOps processes, automation capabilities, and deployment efficiency. Minimum Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. At least 2 years of relevant experience in DevOps, Release Engineering, or Software Configuration Management. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, source control systems, and automated deployment pipelines. Experience with Salesforce deployment tools such as Salesforce DX (SFDX), Change Sets, or equivalent. Experience in release management, version control, and application environment management. Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Good command of written and spoken English. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools such as Gearset, Copado, or equivalent. Experience using application security scanning tools such as Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), Software Composition Analysis (SCA), or equivalent. Salesforce Administrator certification or other Salesforce DevOps-related certifications. Familiarity with secure software development practices and recognised industry security standards. Experience supporting enterprise application deployment and release management.
