Warehouse Management Assistant Manager

Key Responsibilities Process Translation and System Alignment Serve as the primary WMS subject-matter expert, translating approved future-state process flows, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and business requirements into detailed system configurations, workflows, business rules, and technical actions within the WMS. WMS Configuration, Build, and Customization Configure, build, and customize the WMS platform in line with approved process designs. Ensure the system effectively supports all ambient warehouse activities, including order download and release, receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counting, and inventory control. Requirements Validation and Gap Analysis Partner with Industrial Engineering and Operations teams to confirm that all functional requirements are accurately captured and achievable within the selected WMS. Assess the system’s standard capabilities against operational requirements, identify functional gaps, communicate their impact, and recommend practical configuration-based solutions or workarounds. Integration and Interface Configuration Collaborate with technical and integration teams to define, configure, and test the interfaces required to support future-state operations. Ensure accurate, reliable, and bidirectional data exchange between the WMS and upstream or downstream systems, including ERP, Order Management, WES, WCS, RCS, and TMS platforms. Testing and Process Validation Develop, execute, and manage comprehensive test scenarios and scripts to verify that system workflows, configurations, business rules, and exception paths support the intended operational processes. Lead and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring that system outcomes align with the approved process and engineering designs. Data Migration and Infrastructure Assessment Lead data-mapping, cleansing, migration, and validation activities for master data, including items, locations, bins, and open transactions. Ensure all migrated data is accurate and aligned with the new operating model. Define and communicate WMS-specific infrastructure, access, security, and technical requirements to the IT team. Reporting, Dashboards, and Operational KPIs Design and develop user-friendly dashboards and reports that enable Operations teams to monitor productivity, inventory accuracy, system performance, and other key operational metrics. Training, Change Support, and Troubleshooting Develop clear, role-based training materials, user guides, and system instructions that connect WMS activities to the relevant SOPs. Deliver hands-on training and provide ongoing support to super-users and operational teams. Perform root-cause analysis and troubleshoot system, configuration, and process-related issues to support effective system adoption. Go-Live and Hypercare Support Act as the frontline WMS authority during site go-live and hypercare. Monitor system performance, resolve configuration issues, address user queries, troubleshoot operational disruptions, and support a stable transition to the new system and processes. Documentation and Knowledge Transfer Create and maintain comprehensive as-built configuration documents, process-to-system mapping, interface specifications, test records, training materials, and support procedures. Ensure complete knowledge transfer to the designated support teams to enable effective long-term system maintenance and operational support.
