Assistant Engineer (Process)

Duties and Responsibilities Support daily semiconductor fabrication (Fab) process activities for production and engineering wafers. Operate and monitor Fab process and metrology equipment, ensuring compliance with process specifications. Perform wafer disposition and support engineering experiments (DOE) and process characterization. Operate Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM/XSEM) for process analysis, NPI activities, and customer failure analysis (RMA). Generate process characterization and failure analysis reports with findings and recommendations. Monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC), investigate out-of-control/out-of-specification conditions, and support root cause analysis. Perform first-level troubleshooting and basic maintenance of process and SEM equipment. Update process documentation, participate in daily handover meetings, and support continuous process improvements. Requirements Diploma in Optoelectronics, Photonics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline. Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes, metrology, SPC, and DOE is an advantage. Experience operating SEM/XSEM or other characterization equipment will be an added advantage. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. 1–3 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or wafer fabrication is preferred.
