About this role
Manage H&M (Hull and Machinery), PNI (Protection and Indemnity), FD&D (Freight Demurrage & Defence) and other insurance covers for company’s fleet; Ensure all claims are filed with relevant insurers in a timely manner; Coordinate with relevant insurers to process various marine claims (hull, cargo, crew & related P&I claims); Review contracts on charterparties, ship managements and new buildings and provide legal advice; Assist commercial team to handle and settle charterparty disputes; Lead Loss Prevention Initiatives & continuous improvement in marine claims processing & procedures; Ensure proper documentation and record of all premium payments and insurance claims of the company. Requirements Degree on maritime law and / or marine insurance; At least 3 years relevant marine insurance and claims experience, preferably with a shipowner / management firm / P&I Club; Hands-on person with good communication skills and proven supervisory skills; Resilient, possesses a sense of urgency and work well under demanding timeline; Strong conceptual and analytical skills
