Project Engineer

Job Summary Join a prestigious public listed organization as a Project Engineer to lead and support engineering projects from design through implementation, ensuring compliance, quality, and timely delivery. Responsibilities Lead and oversee engineering projects from conception to completion while ensuring compliance with safety and building regulations Coordinate subcontractors and project teams to fulfill contractual performance requirements Prepare detailed internal and external reports on job status, daily progress, estimates, and deliverables Negotiate contract terms, manage drafts, bid on projects, and secure permits to identify and mitigate risks Communicate with stakeholders to ensure quality standards exceed company expectations and client needs are met efficiently Review project progress daily to maintain quality standards and ensure estimates stay within budget Supervise project execution to complete on time and surpass customer requirements Plan and coordinate all building process aspects under tight deadlines, including hiring contractors and collaborating with engineers, architects, and vendors Obtain necessary permits and licenses from relevant authorities Evaluate project progress and prepare comprehensive reports Enforce adherence to health and safety standards and report any issues promptly Required competencies and certifications Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Engineering, Building and Construction, Civil Engineering, or equivalent Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, including at least 1 year in project management In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards Proficiency in construction or project management software Preferred competencies and qualifications WSH Certificate (BCSS) Strong project and people management skills demonstrated through leading teams and projects Excellent communication and problem-solving skills applied in fast-paced project environments Ability to work effectively within tight schedules Self-driven with a collaborative team player mindset
