Electrician (Lew 7)

Responsibilities Support the Site Manager in the daily operations, inspection, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. Lead and supervise maintenance activities to ensure the safe and reliable operation of electrical installations. Attend to fault reports, service requests, and emergency situations, providing timely frontline response and troubleshooting. Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance in accordance with maintenance schedules and operational requirements. Carry out electrical switching operations and ensure compliance with statutory and site requirements. Issue Permit-to-Work (PTW) and Clearance Certificates where required and ensure work is carried out safely. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders during maintenance and operational activities. Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation. Perform any other duties assigned by the Site Manager or Supervisor. Requirements Higher Nitec, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related discipline. Possess a valid EMA Electrician's Licence (LEW Grade 7) . Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, power systems, facilities management, or electrical engineering projects. Good knowledge of electrical distribution systems, power engineering, and electrical safety practices. Experience in supervising maintenance teams and coordinating site operations will be an advantage. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Willing to participate in standby duties and attend to emergency callouts when required.
