Infrastructure Design Engineer

Position Overview This role is centred on technical design excellence, with a focus on producing high-quality, install-ready design packages for complex infrastructure environments. While exposure to security or Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems is beneficial, it is not required at entry. Successful candidates will participate in a structured and intensive training programme designed to build capability across security infrastructure deployment, RF systems, and LMR technologies. You will play a key role in ensuring design accuracy, coordination, and technical integrity from initial concept through to deployment. What You Will Do Design Phase Produce complete, accurate, and installable design packages, including floor plans, schematic diagrams, riser diagrams, termination details, and panel elevations Ensure designs align with client standards, CPTED principles, and applicable building codes Complete required programming and commissioning documentation Participate in design review sessions, incorporating feedback and adapting designs to site-specific requirements Installation Phase Develop construction schedules relating to technical and infrastructure design deliverables Support coordination with cross-functional teams and major trades Ensure all installations align with approved designs and compliance requirements Assist with procurement planning to support accurate implementation of design outputs Monitor design adherence during installation and collaborate with testing and inspection teams Closeout Phase Support system programming, testing, and calibration activities Assist in demonstrating system functionality for client acceptance Contribute to the preparation of Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals and as-built documentation Support training sessions for client and operational teams where required Essential Criteria Strong experience in a technical design role (e.g. engineering design, infrastructure design, or similar) Proficiency in producing detailed design documentation and technical drawings Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in design-focused positions Experience using design tools such as AutoCAD or similar Strong attention to detail and ability to translate requirements into practical design outputs Desired Criteria Experience with BIM 360, Bluebeam, or similar collaboration tools Exposure to large-scale infrastructure or construction projects Familiarity with RF, DAS, or communication systems (advantageous but not required) Interest in developing expertise in security systems and LMR technologies Experience working in multidisciplinary project environments Belonging at EOS EOS is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
