Geospatial Data Science Manager***

This will be a 2-years direct contract position. Responsibilities Translate strategic direction into actionable digital transformation and delivery plans for ML/AI initiatives. Oversee architectural decisions that enable scalable analytics capabilities Ensure that technical standards and responsible AI frameworks are consistently applied. Define divisional outcomes and OKRs in alignment with goals. Develop long-term roadmaps, and drive their execution across teams. Identify and remove systemic inefficiencies, anticipate risks, and take decisive action to navigate challenges. Build strategic cross-functional partnerships. Champion a culture of continuous improvement, open communication, and innovation. Build and manage a high-performing team. Coach people managers, scientists and engineers. Set hiring standards and lead recruitment efforts to bring in and develop top talent. Conduct regular 1:1s with direct and indirect reports. Gather feedback on team health and create the infrastructure and environment for consistent, motivated performance. Requirements Deep expertise in Satellite data exploitation, cloud infrastructure deployments and government security requirements. Data analytics, database management, and software development. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Able to think strategically and translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable plans is important. Satellite mission control software, space systems, orbital analysis tools, and space weather monitoring highly advantageous. Experience in program development and management is highly advantageous.
