Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor (QS) is responsible for managing the costs and contracts of construction projects to ensure they are completed within budget while meeting quality and legal requirements. Key Responsibilities Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects. Measure quantities of materials and labor required. Prepare tender and contract documents. Evaluate contractor bids and quotations. Monitor project costs and cash flow throughout construction. Assess and process variations, claims, and change orders. Conduct site visits to verify work progress. Prepare interim valuations and final accounts. Ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements. Provide cost advice and value engineering recommendations to clients. Required Skills Strong numerical and analytical skills. Knowledge of construction methods and materials. Understanding of contract law and procurement processes. Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
