About this role

Responsibilities Work closely with the Project Manager to develop and implement strategies for accident prevention, safe work practices, and compliance with statutory Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements. Implement, monitor, and maintain Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures, and programs across project sites. Ensure all site personnel strictly adhere to company safety policies, safe work procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements. Lead and coordinate WSH communication initiatives, promoting safety awareness across all levels of the organization. Identify potential hazards and safety gaps proactively, and work with relevant stakeholders to implement preventive and corrective measures. Organize and act as the secretary for Safety Committee meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and conduct regular safety inspections and audits for management reporting. Conduct safety inductions, toolbox meetings, training sessions, and emergency drills to enhance safety awareness and preparedness. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-miss cases, determine root causes, and recommend effective corrective and preventive actions. Lead and supervise site safety personnel, fostering a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset. Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records, documentation, and reports in compliance with regulatory and company requirements. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, or related disciplines. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the building or civil construction industry. Registered as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) for at least 5 years. Good knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
