Job Summary As a Fire Officer at Singapore Changi Cargo Complex, you will operate fire control systems, conduct safety patrols, respond to emergencies, support firefighting and evacuation, and maintain fire safety records to ensure a safe environment. Responsibilities Operate and monitor fire control room (FCR) systems in assigned hangars and buildings to ensure fire detection and suppression systems function per SOPs Conduct regular fire safety patrols inspecting escape routes, firefighting equipment, and hazardous material storage to identify and mitigate risks Respond promptly to fire alarm activations and emergencies to support the on-site incident commander in firefighting and evacuation efforts Serve as fire-watcher during hot work operations, ensuring proper permits and safety checks are maintained to prevent fire hazards Report, record, and communicate all fire safety incidents, defects, and operational irregularities to relevant authorities and stakeholders for timely resolution Attend, support, and facilitate fire evacuation drills, fire warden courses, and fire safety training to maintain preparedness Maintain accurate patrol records and incident logbooks, and assist in equipment readiness and maintenance follow-ups to ensure operational reliability Uphold discipline, proper attire, and professional conduct in compliance with SIA/SIAEC protocols Required competencies and certifications Minimum 2 years’ experience as an operational firefighter with SCDF, AES, or Industrial Fire Brigade Physical fitness to respond effectively to fire incidents and emergencies Knowledge of Singapore Fire Safety Act, SCDF regulations, and relevant Codes of Practice Ability to operate inspection tools (e.g., gas detector), tablet computers for reporting, and c…
