Your New Role As an AVP/VP, Threat Prevention, you will be responsible for the design, enforcement, monitoring, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity controls, ensuring the organisation maintains a strong security posture against evolving threats. Your Key Responsibilities include: • Design, implement, and manage security controls across DLP, EDR, NDR, cloud security, firewalls, and WAF • Perform continuous monitoring, event triage, and alert response within a global security operations model • Tune detection rules and policies to reduce false positives and improve threat coverage • Troubleshoot and refine security configurations to ensure performance and compliance • Collaborate with network, identity, and application security teams for consistent policy enforcement • Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and configuration baselines • Evaluate new security features and pilot enhancements to improve operational efficiency • Support post incident reviews and recommend platform level improvements What You’ll Need to Succeed • At least 3–7 years’ experience in cybersecurity operations, threat prevention, or security engineering • Hands on expertise with DLP, EDR, NDR, cloud security controls, firewalls, or WAF • Strong understanding of cloud security, Zero Trust, and secure web traffic inspection • Experience with SIEM, SOAR, and security event triage • Knowledge of operating systems and network protocols (Windows, Unix, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S) • Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation; AI driven security experience is a plus • Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate technical findings clearly What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV to Belle.lim@hays.com.sg.
