About this role

Job Purpose The Software and Applications Manager (SAP iMRO) is responsible for leading the design, development, implementation, enhancement,and support of SAP iMRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) solutions and related enterprise applications. The role provides functional and technical leadership to ensure that SAP iMRO systems effectively support business operations, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation initiatives. The incumbent will oversee software development activities, solution delivery, innovation initiatives, and Proof-of-Concept (PoC)development while ensuring application quality, security, scalability, and business alignment. Key Responsibilities SAP iMRO Solution Leadership Lead the acquisition, implementation, enhancement, and support of SAP iMRO and related enterprise applications. Own the end-to-end SAPiMRO solution landscape, ensuring alignment with business and operational requirements. Provide expert guidance on SAP iMRO processes including: Component Maintenance Work Order Management Bill of Work (BoW) Maintenance Planning Shop Floor Execution Engineering Processes Material Management Repair and Overhaul Operations Drive solution standardization and adoption of SAP best practices. Application Development and Delivery Oversee the development and enhancement of SAP applications, reports, interfaces, conversions, forms, workflows, and custom developments. Manage software development lifecycles from requirements gathering to deployment and support. Ensure successful delivery of projects within agreed timelines, budget, scope, and quality standards. Collaborate with technical teams to design robust and scalable solutions. Solution Architecture and Innovation Provide technical and functional expertise for SAP iMRO solution architecture and design. Oversee the development of Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs), prototypes, and innovative solutions. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Support integration initiatives involving SAP and non-SAP systems. Quality Assurance and Governance Monitor the effectiveness, stability, and performance of implemented SAP solutions. Establish and enforce development standards, architecture principles, and quality assurance processes. Conduct solution reviews and ensure compliance with organizational governance frameworks. Ensure proper documentation of functional and technical solutions. Security, Risk, and Compliance Ensure that security, risk, and compliance requirements are incorporated into solution design and implementation. Assess potential system risks and recommend mitigation measures. Support audit, regulatory, and governance requirements related to enterprise applications. Ensure appropriate authorization, segregation of duties, and data protection controls are maintained. Stakeholder Management Engage business stakeholders, project teams, and external vendors to understand business needs and deliver effective solutions. Facilitate workshops and requirement-gathering sessions with business users. Present solution recommendations, risks, and implementation strategies to management and executive stakeholders. Manage relationships with technology partners and SAP product teams. Team Leadership Lead and mentor SAP consultants, developers, analysts, and support teams. Provide coaching, technical guidance, and career development support. Drive collaboration among cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives. Support resource planning, workload management, and capability development. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science Information Technology Programming & Systems Analysis Science (Computer Studies) Relevant Work Experience Minimum 15 years of experience in any of the following positions: Application Development Manager Head of Applications Development Software and Applications Manager Preferred Experience SAP iMRO implementation and support experience. SAP EAM/PM, MM, QM, Fiori, and S/4HANA experience. Experience leading large-scale maintenance and engineering transformation programs. Knowledge of aerospace, aviation MRO, engineering, manufacturing, or asset-intensive industries. Experience managing system integration, data migration, testing, and deployment activities.
