Accounts Executive

The Role We are looking for a motivated and adaptable Accounts Executive to support our daily finance and accounting operations. This role goes beyond routine accounting — we are looking for someone who is eager to learn, comfortable with change, and ready to take ownership as the business evolves. Key Responsibilities Manage full sets of accounts including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end closing Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, bank reconciliations, and accounting schedules Maintain accurate and organised financial records and documentation for compliance purposes Assist in preparing management reports and financial statements Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, and external service providers Maintain data integrity across accounting systems Support ad-hoc finance tasks and take on responsibilities as business needs grow Requirements Diploma or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with full set accounts Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, or similar) Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Able to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion Adaptable, proactive, and open to taking on evolving responsibilities in a startup-style environment Preferred competencies and qualifications Experience in investment management, financial services, or private equity Exposure to multi-entity accounting or GST filing Familiarity with process improvement initiatives
