We are looking for an experienced System Engineer for one of our well-established maritime clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for the engineering design, integration, testing, and delivery of telecommunications, safety and security, and marine navigation systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 4–5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, with the ability to understand technical requirements and communicate engineering concepts effectively to customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams. communication services. Key Responsibilities · Take ownership of engineering designs by thoroughly assessing and understanding customers’ requirements and proposing appropriate solutions that meet technical specifications. · Prepare and manage engineering documentation and Vendor Document Requirement List (VDRL) submissions, ensuring customers’ comments are addressed accurately, promptly, and to a high standard. · Produce preliminary sketches and provide guidance to AutoCAD drafters in preparing engineering drawings and other required deliverables. · Apply relevant industry standards and best practices throughout the preparation, design, review, and submission of engineering drawings. · Guide in-house technicians in equipment assembly and cabinet integration. · Perform system configuration, simulation, testing, verification, and troubleshooting. · Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with customers and provide in-house training to customers and commissioning engineers. · Collaborate with internal departments, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to support the successful delivery of projects. · Undertake other ad hoc duties as required to support business needs.
