About the Role We are seeking a Field Engineer to support the execution of pharmaceutical and industrial construction projects by providing on-site technical expertise throughout equipment installation, commissioning, and project completion. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure site activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with GMP and project requirements. Responsibilities Provide on-site engineering support for the installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up of pharmaceutical equipment and process systems. Supervise site installation and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, project requirements, and quality standards. Support commissioning, qualification, and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) activities within GMP-regulated environments where applicable. Ensure all construction and installation works comply with workplace safety regulations, engineering standards, and GMP requirements. Troubleshoot technical issues encountered during construction, installation, and commissioning, implementing effective solutions to minimise project delays. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, vendors, consultants, and client representatives to ensure smooth project execution. Prepare site reports, commissioning records, technical documentation, and project progress updates. Support preventive maintenance activities, system optimisation, and post-installation technical support when required. Requirements Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing industries will be an advantage. Must have working experience in the construction industry. Familiarity with utilities, process systems, equipment installation, and commissioning activities is preferred. Good understanding of GMP requirements and regulated manufacturing environments will be an advantage. Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Able to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders where required. Willing to work at project sites and travel as required. A proactive team player with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.
