About the Role We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of pharmaceutical EPCM projects from planning through commissioning. This role is responsible for managing multidisciplinary teams, coordinating engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, while ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with GMP and other regulatory standards. Responsibilities Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimise project delays. Ensure all project activities comply with GMP requirements, applicable pharmaceutical regulations, and local statutory standards. Coordinate engineering activities and review technical drawings, specifications, and engineering deliverables to ensure project objectives are achieved. Manage the procurement of equipment, materials, and subcontracted services, ensuring timely delivery of long-lead items. Oversee construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and site activities while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and project requirements. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders, providing regular progress updates and managing project changes effectively. Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, fostering collaboration and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence. Prepare periodic reports covering project progress, budgets, risks, KPIs, and overall project performance. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related discipline. Minimum 8 years of project management experience within pharmaceutical EPCM projects. Proven experience managing complex construction projects within the pharmaceutical or industrial building sector. Must have working experience in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA, EMA, and relevant local regulatory requirements. Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering projects from planning through commissioning. Proficient in project management software such as Primavera, Microsoft Project, SAP, or equivalent. PMP or PRINCE2 certification will be an advantage. Experience in commissioning and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ). Familiar with process equipment, cleanroom construction, and validation requirements. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership skills. Able to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders where required.
