About the Role We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the execution of pharmaceutical and industrial construction projects in Singapore. This role is responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, coordinating with project stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivering projects safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards. Responsibilities Manage and oversee all on-site construction and installation activities throughout the project lifecycle. Develop and implement detailed site execution plans, construction methodologies, and project schedules, including key milestones. Establish and enforce site safety procedures, ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations and company standards. Monitor site progress, quality, productivity, and project performance, and prepare regular progress reports for management and clients. Plan and coordinate statutory submissions, approvals, permits, and inspections with the relevant Singapore authorities, including Building Plan approvals and Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) requirements. Coordinate closely with Professional Engineers, Resident Engineers (RE), Resident Technical Officers (RTO), Registered Inspectors (RI), and other project consultants. Manage and supervise subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications. Liaise with government authorities, clients, main contractors, consultants, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve site-related issues and maintain project progress. Ensure project activities comply with contractual requirements, construction standards, and applicable regulations. Perform any other duties assigned to support successful project delivery. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of construction management experience within the building construction or pharmaceutical construction industry. Must have working experience in the construction industry. Proven experience managing site execution, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary construction teams. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project planning, statutory approval processes, and relevant construction regulations. Proven ability to negotiate favourable commercial terms with suppliers and subcontractors. Proficient in procurement systems and other relevant project management tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Able to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders where required.
