Job Description Material Planning: Manage material planning based on forecasts and purchase orders (POs). Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels and place orders as required to maintain optimal inventory. PO Management: Collate and issue purchase orders for materials, goods, tools, packaging materials, etc. Order Tracking: Track shipments and orders to ensure timely delivery. Supplier Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers for the best pricing, payment, and delivery terms. Subcontractor Coordination: Liaise with subcontractors regarding size conversions and delivery schedules. Documentation: Prepare and submit relevant documents (e.g., acknowledged POs, proforma invoices, or invoices) to the Accounts Department for payment processing (cheque/TT). Internal Collaboration: Coordinate delivery schedules with warehouse and production teams. System Updates: Perform daily system entries for incoming goods. Performance Review: Conduct annual supplier performance reviews. Requirements Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Knowledge of polymeric products is an advantage. Proficient in MS Office applications. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
