The role is primarily responsible for driving sales growth and achieving sales targets for the IOL business in assigned markets. Key responsibilities include managing sales performance, developing business plans to achieve sales budgets and targets, and managing distributors across assigned territories. Based in Singapore, the person will support distributors and oversee distributor-driven business activities in the assigned markets. The role also includes occasional travel across the region, participation in regional conferences and exhibitions, including booth and marketing coordination, and close collaboration with Japan HQ and internal RA, SCM, Marketing, and Legal teams to ensure business continuity, compliance, and effective execution. The person may also support business expansion initiatives for non-IOL medical device businesses, including product launches, market development, and distributor management, as assigned by the HOD. 1) Experience in sales (distribution / tenders), marketing, budgeting and business coordination in ophthalmic or related medical device commercial roles, with a track record of achieving sales targets. 2) Experience with distributor management across ASEAN markets would be advantageous. 3) Working knowledge of Singapore's healthcare regulatory and access landscape.(GDPMDS, MOH, HSA, ACE & ALPS) 4) Must be comfortable engaging KOLs and providing product-related support in Operating Theatre settings 5) Strong stakeholder management skills — able to engage relevant KOLs in assigned countries, distributors, and internal cross-functional/HQ teams together. 6) Willingness to travel across ASEAN. 7) Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively across markets 8) Strong communication skills in English. 9) A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify challenges and barriers to achieving targets, develop alternative courses of action, and take positive action to overcome them. 10) A proactive commitment to achieving annually established KPIs. Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering,Marketing, or related field is preferred, but practical industry experience will also be considered. Minimum 3 years of experience in medical device sales or medical sales is required, preferably in the ophthalmology field. Experience in ophthalmology, IOL, cataract surgery, surgical products, or distributor-driven business, phaco-related products, tender business would be highly preferred.
