Job Summary The Car Repair Supervisor oversees daily workshop operations, ensuring vehicle repairs and maintenance are completed efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards. This role involves supervising technicians, managing workflow, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate activities of automotive technicians and mechanics Assign repair jobs based on skill level and workload Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with standards Diagnose complex vehicle issues and provide technical guidance Ensure timely completion of repairs and adherence to deadlines Maintain workshop safety standards and enforce compliance Monitor inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts Coordinate with parts department for availability of materials Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and provide technical explanations when needed Maintain service records, reports, and documentation Train and mentor junior technicians Qualifications & Requirements Diploma or certification in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field Proven experience (typically 3–5+ years) in automotive repair, with supervisory experience preferred Strong knowledge of vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, diagnostics) Leadership and team management skills Ability to use diagnostic tools and workshop software Good problem-solving and decision-making skills Strong communication and customer service abilities Key Skills Technical expertise in vehicle repair Team leadership and supervision Time management and workflow planning Attention to detail Troubleshooting and diagnostics Safety awareness Working Conditions Workshop environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and machinery May require standing for long periods Occasional overtime based on workload
