Name of Authority: Jurong Secondary School Contract Period: From 1 September 2026 to 31 December 2027 Personnel to be deployed at the following hours: • Mondays to Fridays: 7:15am to 4.15pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays Requirement: The Personnel deployed shall possess the following skills and experience: 1. Minimum three (3) years of working experience in a uniformed service background (e.g. Singapore Police Force, Singapore Prison Service, Singapore Civil Defence Force, or other law enforcement organisations), with prior involvement in youth-related case investigations considered an advantage. 2. Relevant experience in restorative practice and behaviour intervention, with the ability to remain calm and composed when managing challenging situations involving students. Experience in a secondary school setting will be an added advantage. 3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and members of the public. 4. Ability to multitask, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a team in a dynamic school environment Job Scopes: The Contractor shall deploy the Personnel to support the Student Management Committee in the following areas: 1) Case Management Support The Personnel shall assist Student Management Committee teachers in managing disciplinary cases. This includes reviewing CCTV footage, providing input on investigation focus and interview questions, locating missing students where necessary, and supporting the conclusion of investigations. 2) Late-Coming Duties The Personnel shall be responsible for processing late-coming students in accordance with the school's procedures. 3) Patrol Duties The Personnel shall conduct regular patrols of the school premises and surrounding areas, including the canteen, free play areas, toilet areas, and the vicinity of neighbouring blocks and the Taman Jurong area. Within school premises, the Personnel shall patrol the classroom blocks to monitor and report inappropriate behaviour for follow-up actions. During morning patrols, the Personnel shall ensure that students make their way to assembly areas promptly, directing and reminding any students who are loitering or have yet to report to do so in a timely manner. During canteen duty, the Personnel shall maintain order during lunch breaks by reminding students to queue orderly, return their plates and utensils, and behave appropriately. Should conflicts arise among students, the Personnel shall ensure their safety and bring them to the General Office for the Student Management Committee to follow up. In free play areas, the Personnel shall ensure students’ safety and appropriate use of equipment and similarly manage any conflicts that arise. In toilet areas, the Personnel shall deter, detect, and report to the Student Management Committee any instances of vaping, smoking, or other inappropriate activities. In the surrounding neighborhood, the Personnel shall maintain a visible presence and actively build partnerships with community stakeholders such as stall vendors, People's Association staff, and residents. The Personnel shall serve as a contact point for community members to report student misbehavior, and shall deter, detect, and report inappropriate student activities to the Student Management Committee. 4) Student Engagement The Personnel shall support the Student Management Committee in engaging and managing students. This includes monitoring students sent out of class, serving school-based suspension, after-school detention, and after-school activities, structured programmes or unstructured free play in school spaces such as the fields and basketball courts. 5) Other Duties The Personnel shall support school events such as Cross Country and Open House, and assist the Examination Committee with escort duties and invigilation of special examination rooms for students with special needs. During Home-Based Learning days and school holidays, the Personnel shall be attached to the school's administrative or operations teams as required.
