About this role
Singapore | Regional Architecture Ownership | Data Platforms, Cloud, MDM, Lakehouse I am looking for a Enterprise Data Platform Architect to lead the design, migration, and governance of next‑generation data platforms across APAC. This role is focused on platform architecture — building the foundational data, cloud, integration, and governance capabilities that power analytics, AI, and enterprise applications. You’ll drive the migration of legacy master data systems into a modern Databricks‑based lakehouse, shaping enterprise data strategy and influencing senior technology leadership across multiple markets. What You Will Lead: - Enterprise‑scale master data migration from legacy banking platforms into a modern lakehouse (Databricks, Delta Lake). - End‑to‑end platform architecture across ingestion, pipelines, modelling, lineage, governance, and quality. - Build and operationalise data lakehouse platforms (Delta Lake, Iceberg, Hudi) and cloud‑native data services. - Define data platform blueprints, standards, and reference architectures across business and technology domains. - Regional architecture delivery across Thailand, Korea, Japan, Myanmar, India, Philippines. Why This Role Stands Out: - APAC‑wide platform ownership with strategic influence across multiple markets. - Combination of greenfield platform build, cloud transformation, and enterprise‑grade governance. - High visibility with C‑suite, CTO, CIO, and cross‑functional technology leaders. - Opportunity to define long‑term data platform strategy, MDM architecture, and lakehouse adoption for a major bank. What You Bring: - 10+ years in data platform architecture / data engineering within BFSI or large‑scale enterprise environments. - Proven experience migrating master data from legacy banking systems to modern platforms. - Deep knowledge of lakehouse architectures, distributed data design, and modern data platform patterns. - Hands‑on cloud experience (AWS preferred, Azure or GCP also welcome). - "Ideally but not essential" strong Databricks capability — Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, governance, pipelines, ML. - Broad enterprise architecture skills across API integration, application architecture, cloud services, and data pipelines. - Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills. Nice to Have: - Experience in Corporate / Wholesale Banking data domains. - TOGAF or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification.
