Quantity Surveyor (Metal Works)

Job Summary Prepare and manage cost estimates, quantity take-offs, claims, and fabrication drawings to support project execution. Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and production teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of construction and metal works projects. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates, quotations, and Bills of Quantities (BoQ) to support project budgeting and planning Perform accurate quantity take-offs for materials and labor to ensure precise resource allocation Manage claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts to maintain project financial control Verify technical drawings, material orders, and fabrication works to ensure compliance with project specifications Coordinate effectively with suppliers, subcontractors, and production teams to facilitate smooth project execution Prepare and update fabrication drawings using AutoCAD to support manufacturing and construction processes Required competencies and certifications Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or a related field 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in metal works Ability to read and interpret technical and fabrication drawings Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office software Familiarity with cost estimation, contract administration, and variation claims processes Strong organizational skills and effective communication abilities
