Tender Quantity Surveyor - Construction

Location: East Our client is an established firm in the construction industry. They are looking for a meticulous and commercially minded Tender Quantity Surveyor to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, coordinating tender submissions, and supporting the pre-contract process to ensure competitive and successful bids for construction projects. Key Responsibilities Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract requirements. Prepare quantity take-offs and detailed cost estimates. Source, compare, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Prepare tender pricing, budgets, and submission documents within specified deadlines. Analyse project costs and recommend value engineering solutions. Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to clarify tender requirements. Assess project risks and opportunities during the tender stage. Maintain an up-to-date database of suppliers and subcontractors. Support the smooth handover of awarded projects to the project execution team. Prepare cost reports and assist with other duties assigned by management. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 2–5 years of experience in tendering or quantity surveying within the construction industry. Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and market pricing. Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and quantity surveying software such as Glodon Cubicost. Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Able to work independently and manage multiple tender deadlines. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
