Assistant Director (Infrastructure Readiness)

You are responsible for managing and overseeing the end-to-end upkeep and operational readiness of buildings and infrastructure (BI), including the planning and execution of BI and critical BI systems across a cluster of the Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS) estates and operational facilities. - Direct and oversee the end-to-end process for BI maintenance, operational readiness, and sustenance of critical BI systems and facilities - Lead the planning and execution of critical BI system renewal, replacement, and technology refresh programmes - Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimise operational disruptions - Establish contingency and recovery plans for critical BI systems Challenge(s) - Managing the diverse needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders, each with different operational priorities, concerns, and service demands - Managing a large and diverse portfolio of BI and BI systems with varying asset complexities - Making timely assessments and decisions to optimise maintenance schedules and resource allocation, while minimising operational disruption and ensuring infrastructure reliability and availability - Education in Engineering, Facilities Management or a related field - At least 8 years of relevant experience in facility maintenance and management, facilities operations, and budget planning - Strong competency in infrastructure readiness assurance and facility maintenance process design - Good analytical and systems thinking skills, with the ability to support strategic decision-making - Meticulous with strong time management skills and the ability to lead and manage multiple stakeholders effectively Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
