Assistant Director (Data Architecture & Standards) - DIS

You develop the data architecture and data strategies for the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), as well as conduct data maturity assessments. - Research data quality, data management policies and data technologies - Research advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) for the SAF in consultation with key MINDEF/Singapore Armed Forces stakeholders - Manage complex data issues - Collaborate with project management teams to handle digital projects - Examine opportunities to exploit data for full-spectrum operations Challenge(s) - Understanding operations and various staff functions in the SAF at strategic and tactical levels - Comprehending data science and understanding current MINDEF/SAF data landscape - Keeping abreast of emerging technologies - Education in Engineering or Computer Science is preferred - At least 6 years of experience in database management systems, data analytics, data science, data policy and governance - Conversant - Strong interest in data science and digital technology - Good interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with MINDEF/SAF stakeholders and external professionals - Initiative and drive to manage complex data issues - Ability to collaborate with project management teams Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
