Assistant Director (Organisational & Capability Plans)

You will play a key role in shaping the future of the defence technology workforce within the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), driving organisational and competency development initiatives that ensure the Defence Technology Community remains future-ready. - Transform the Temasek Defence Systems Institute (TDSI) into a sustainable learning hub that is relevant and responsive to MINDEF/SAF's evolving needs - Develop and refine competency development plans for Defence Technology Group (DTG) staff to build a capable and future-ready workforce - Anticipate emerging geopolitical and technological trends and adapt organisational plans accordingly to ensure continued relevance and effectiveness - Review organisational structures within the wider Defence Technology Community (DTC) and recommend improvements to enhance organisational effectiveness Challenge(s) - Navigating a complex stakeholder landscape spanning MINDEF/SAF, the Defence Technology Community (DTC), ST Engineering, and the Temasek Defence Systems Institute (TDSI) - Maintaining strong situational awareness of DTG/DTC priorities to make sound, well-informed recommendations on organisational and competency development improvements - Education in any field - At least 6 years of working experience in the area of defence technology or a closely related field - Strong analytical and planning abilities, with experience in organisational development, workforce planning, or competency framework development being advantageous - Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present recommendations clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage relationships across a diverse and complex stakeholder landscape Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
