About this role
You will drive training capability development and the sustained delivery of vocational trainer systems for the Maritime Training and Doctrine Command (MTDC), leveraging Modelling and Simulation (M&S) and learning technologies to shape the future of naval training for the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN). - Drive training capability development for MTDC, ensuring that vocational trainer systems meet the RSN's operational and training requirements - Sustain existing vocational trainer systems as the Systems Manager, overseeing their performance, maintenance, and future upgrades - Drive the implementation of new learning and education technologies for the RSN, including the onboarding of vocational training content onto the SAF's New Generation Learning System (NGLS) - Lead digitalisation and innovation efforts for the MTDC, identifying opportunities to enhance training effectiveness through technology - Represent the RSN in engagements with senior stakeholders, contractors, and vendors, articulating trainer system needs and justifying project proposals for approval Challenge(s) - Managing the concurrent development of multiple vocational trainer systems within tight timelines, requiring strong prioritisation and project management discipline - Leading multi-partite project teams which requires the ensuring of tight integration between training requirements and technology solutions - Managing trainer system development across diverse vocational domains - Ensuring robust knowledge management practices for supporting future system upgrades - Education in a related field - At least 15 years of experience in a related field - At least 8 years of experience in the implementation of Modelling and Simulation (M&S) and learning and education technologies, with at least 3 years in a leadership or project management capacity - Well-versed in the application of M&S technologies for simulators and trainers, as well as learning, education, and pedagogical technologies relevant to the design of trainer systems - Strong leadership skills and has led a team of at least 3 personnel, preferably in the maritime domain - Strong project management skills with a high degree of initiative, assertiveness, and the ability to deliver within stipulated timeframes - Mature analytical skills and strategic thinking abilities - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
