Salesforce Technical Lead Job Description Experience Required 8+ Years Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Technical Lead to drive the design, architecture, and delivery of scalable Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and Field Service. The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on development expertise with proven leadership, guiding development teams, defining technical standards, and translating complex business requirements into robust, high-performing, and maintainable solutions. This role acts as the primary technical authority on the project, owning solution quality from architecture through deployment. Key Responsibilities • Lead the end-to-end technical design and architecture of Salesforce solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and Salesforce best practices. • Provide hands-on development leadership across Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, Triggers, Batch classes, and Flows. • Design and enforce scalable trigger frameworks and clean architecture principles to optimize governor limit usage and system performance. • Own complex configuration and customization across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and Field Service Lightning. • Architect and implement REST/SOAP API integrations between Salesforce and external systems (e.g., payment gateways, ERP, telephony, cloud servers). • Lead technical Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production issues and drive long-term corrective and preventive solutions. • Guide modernization efforts – migrating legacy Workflow Rules and Process Builders to Record-Triggered Flows, and Visualforce to LWC. • Define and uphold coding standards, conduct code reviews, and mentor developers to raise overall team capability. • Manage version control (Git), deployment pipelines, and end-to-end release management from development through UAT to production. • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Support, and Product) to translate business requirements into technical solutions. • Estimate effort, break down work, and align tasks with the development team to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery. • Ensure solution scalability, security, and compliance, including support for Salesforce Security Reviews for AppExchange products where applicable. Required Skills & Qualifications • 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce development and technical leadership experience. • Expert-level proficiency in Apex, LWC, Aura Components, Visualforce, Triggers, Batch Apex, and Flows. • Strong command of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and Field Service Lightning. • Proven experience with REST and SOAP API integrations, Named Credentials, and Salesforce Bulk API. • Solid understanding of the Salesforce security model – Profiles, Permission Sets, OWD, and sharing settings. • Experience designing reusable trigger frameworks and applying scalable, governor-limit-safe design patterns. • Working knowledge of complementary programming languages such as Core Java, JavaScript, and Node.js. • Hands-on experience with migration and deployment tools – Data Loader, Import Wizard, and Git-based version control. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills. • Demonstrated ability to mentor developers and lead a technical team. Certifications • Salesforce Platform Developer I (PD1) – Required. • Salesforce Platform Developer II (PD2) – Required. • Salesforce Agentforce Specialist – Preferred. • Salesforce CPQ Specialist / Application or System Architect certifications – Preferred. Education • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (B.Tech / B.E. / equivalent). Preferred (Nice to Have) • Experience developing and publishing AppExchange managed packages (2GP) and clearing Salesforce Security Review. • Exposure to third-party integrations. • Experience with Salesforce Communities / Experience Cloud and Force.com Sites. • Experience with Sales/Service, Agentforce and Data Cloud.
