About this role
With an ageing population, there is rising demand for community care services - residential care, centre-based and home-based care. Manpower is a key enabler or limiting factor to support this important area of growth. You will part of the team overseeing manpower strategies and initiatives to ensure an adequate and qualified manpower supply for the community care sector in Singapore. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time. You will review and conceptualise schemes related to workforce development and training in the community care sector. This will include reviewing training subsidies, manpower development sponsorships, and leadership programmes within the community care sector. You will also assess funding requests for new care settings, and facilitate policies to help with the prevention of abuse and harassment of healthcare workers. This involves working with internal and external stakeholders, developing and reviewing policies, and overseeing their implementation. • Thinking Clearly & Making Sound Judgements – Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to support the crafting of sound policy recommendations; ability to grasp timelines, operating context and ground realities. • Learning & Putting Skills into Action - Possesses the drive and curiosity to learn and apply new skills, knowledge and new ways of working. • Improving & Innovating – Ability to seek continual improvements, and to innovate and experiment while managing the risks involved. • Working Effectively with Stakeholders – Ability to mobilise and rally partners and stakeholders towards a collective purpose. • Attention to detail and comfort with numbers – Meticulous while also able to see the big picture and draw connections across work pieces. Data competencies and comfort with large numbers will be an advantage. • Prior experience in policy work and familiarity with the healthcare landscape will be an advantage As part of the shortlisting process for this role, candidates may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
