Senior Assistant Director (Transformation Office), SPPD

You will be part of the Transformation Office within MinLaw’s Strategic Planning and Policy Division. The Transformation Office coordinates and drives public sector transformation efforts within the Ministry and supports transformation, innovation and organisation development efforts in line with WOG initiatives. We would like to invite an independent and self-motivated individual to join us in shaping and building MinLaw’s transformation journey. The job scope involves: • Understanding and contextualising broader WOG transformation initiatives and efforts into specific initiatives for the Ministry’s transformation; • Designing and driving organisational development initiatives • Facilitating business units to develop, translate and implement transformation initiatives; • Organising MinLaw’s corporate events to achieve organisational development and innovation objectives • Secretariat for Minlaw’s transformation-related meetings *Key Competencies* • [Systems Thinking]: See the different levels of the system in the organisation, their interconnections and interdependencies, and applies understanding to the work performed. • [Change]: Assess change risk and readiness to develop and implement interventions that help officers transit through the change to achieve the intended successful outcomes • [Stakeholder Management]: Work with relevant stakeholders at the different levels of the system to engage them on relevant input to support the interventions for organisational change • [Ethics and Values]: Establish strong grounding in OD ethics and values to ensure that actions are based on professional principles and role-model them in the course of practice. • [Sense & Evaluate Impact]: a) Set indicators, and/or identify suitable output and outcome indicators (leverage prevailing resources, where appropriate), and collect data b) Analyse data and evaluate effectiveness of engagement based on intended outcomes (leverage prevailing resources, where appropriate) *Work Experience / Personal Traits* • Specialist in Organisational Development and/or Change Management • Preferably be familiar with public service transformation, innovation and organisational development work in public service sector • Preferably at least 2 years of relevant work experience • Be able to translate ideas into strategies and action plans. • Be resourceful and able to identify and tap on, or seek resources, to implement action plans. • Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills • Strong planning, organisational, and interpersonal skills • Be a results-orientated, highly self-motivated and resilient person • Enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, including tight deadlines, and be able to work independently as well as in a team/cross-team setting. While officers are hired for specific roles within the division at the start, officers have the opportunity to work in different or multiple sections within the division, taking into consideration the officers’ competencies and development needs, as well as the needs of the division. Successful candidates will be appointed on a 1-year contract in the first instance, subject to renewal. #LI-SW1
