Software Tester (2 Year Contract)

Job Summary As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using various testing frameworks. Your expertise will drive the automation strategy, ensuring robust and reliable testing processes across our web applications. You will also support testing governance efforts across multiple projects, ensuring consistent quality, compliance, and alignment with departmental business goals. This includes promoting best practices in test strategy, execution, defect management, and reporting. As part of an agile team, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of products used by the internal team. Key Responsibilities Automation: Collaborate with software development and QA teams to understand testing requirements and provide guidance for development of appropriate test strategies. Execute automated tests to validate software functionality, identify defects, and ensure high-quality deliverables. Enhance automation frameworks to improve test coverage, efficiency, and reliability. Analyze test results and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders regarding software quality. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automation technologies, incorporating relevant tools and practices into our testing processes. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the software development lifecycle by advocating for automation and implementing efficient testing methodologies. Testing Governance: Leverage hands-on testing experience to guide testing teams on testing governance and best practices, while collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation to drive consistent quality, enhance IT performance, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
