Position: Project Manager Functional Group: Project Execution Location: Site-based (Natural Gas Construction Projects), Hong Kong – CLP Castle Peak Power PMO Office Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of major natural gas projects at power generation facilities in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will possess strong technical, leadership, and project coordination skills, with proven experience managing complex construction activities within live operating plants. This role is responsible for directing project execution and ensuring performance targets relating to safety, quality, cost, and schedule are achieved. Requirements Qualifications / Education Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration (MBA), or a related discipline. Experience Minimum 5 years of EPCC project execution experience within the Oil & Gas or Power sectors. Demonstrated experience in contract administration, EPC project lifecycle management, including risk management, planning, document control, and site construction management. Experience in processing plants or construction industries is advantageous. Technical Skills & Knowledge Strong background in contract management and facilities project execution. Knowledge of civil works and process plant projects is beneficial. PMP certification is preferred. Communication & Leadership Proven leadership and team management capabilities with strong resource planning skills. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities. Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills are preferred due to Hong Kong-based projects and Chinese-speaking clients. Work Style Able to work independently in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver projects safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements and quality standards. Manage all project execution phases including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, QA/QC, logistics, construction, installation, and commissioning. Establish and maintain project control systems and performance monitoring processes. Develop project schedules and monitor progress throughout the project lifecycle. Identify project risks and issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement. Maintain control of project schedule and ensure key milestones are achieved. Manage project costs and ensure expenditure remains within approved budgets. Monitor and achieve project quality objectives and performance targets. Lead project teams, manage resources effectively, and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders. Build and sustain strong client relationships throughout project execution. Review contract requirements and technical specifications to identify cost-saving opportunities and manage scope changes and variation orders. Review and approve project progress reports. Work closely with clients and management teams to resolve issues and enhance project performance. Protect company interests by minimizing contractual risks while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Supervise subcontractors and ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Maintain accurate project records and documentation of all project-related communications.
