Application Support Engineer - Payments

6+ years of application/production support experience in the banking or financial services domain. Hands-on experience supporting VolPay or a similar payments application (mandatory). Experience working in an international banking/payments environment. Strong knowledge of international payment processing , SWIFT messaging , and ISO 20022 standards. Strong knowledge of application monitoring , alerting tools, and proactive system health monitoring. Experience managing Docker-based application deployments and containerized environments. Strong Unix/Linux administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills. Proficiency in Shell scripting (Bash/Korn Shell) for automation and operational support. Hands-on experience with IBM MQ / MQ Series , message queues, and middleware troubleshooting. Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and integration technologies. Experience in incident, problem, and production support , including root cause analysis (RCA). Expertise in log analysis , troubleshooting application issues, and performance optimization. Experience with batch scheduling , job monitoring, and payment processing workflows. Strong understanding of application availability, SLAs, and production support best practices.
