Job Purpose The Accommodation Superstructure Supervisor is responsible for supervising the construction, outfitting, installation, and completion of vessel accommodation spaces and superstructure works. The role ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with project specifications, quality requirements, safety standards, and construction schedules. Key Responsibilities Supervise the construction and outfitting of vessel accommodation areas and superstructure structures, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and project specifications. Coordinate and monitor the installation of accommodation modules, bulkheads, ceilings, flooring systems, insulation materials, doors, windows, and marine furniture. Oversee interior outfitting works for operational and crew-support spaces, including accommodation areas, galley spaces, dining areas, medical facilities, sanitary spaces, offices, and recreational areas. Ensure installation works comply with applicable marine safety, fire protection, acoustic, and habitability requirements. Coordinate closely with HVAC, electrical, piping, and structural teams to ensure integrated installation and minimize interface issues. Inspect watertight and weather-tight installations, including doors, hatches, windows, ventilation systems, and associated fittings. Monitor material delivery schedules, storage conditions, and installation sequencing to support project progress and reduce rework. Support planning and coordination of vessel life-saving appliance (LSA) installation activities in accordance with approved drawings and project requirements. Verify that materials and finishes used for accommodation and interior outfitting comply with applicable marine safety and performance standards. Prepare daily progress reports, inspection records, punch lists, and non-conformance reports (NCRs) where required. Participate in internal inspections, client inspections, owner inspections, and regulatory authority reviews. Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures. Requirements Education Diploma, Higher NITEC, NITEC, or equivalent qualification in Marine Engineering, Shipbuilding Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Experience Experience in shipbuilding, offshore, marine construction, vessel outfitting, interior fit-out, or related industries. Experience supervising accommodation outfitting, structural assembly, interior finishing, or production activities in a project environment. Experience with aluminum vessel construction, high-speed craft, patrol vessels, naval vessels, or commercial shipbuilding projects will be an advantage. Technical Competencies Knowledge of shipbuilding and outfitting processes, accommodation construction, and marine interior installation. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, layout plans, accommodation arrangements, and construction documentation. Familiarity with insulation systems, marine joinery works, interior finishing, and vessel outfitting activities. Understanding of marine safety requirements, quality control procedures, and inspection processes. Knowledge of material control, installation sequencing, and project coordination practices.
