Company Description: A multinational medical device company with presence globally Location: Central Salary: SGD 5000 – 6,000 Role Overview We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Service Engineer to provide high-quality technical service and engineering support for the company's Medical Devices portfolio by ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant equipment performance. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, distributors, and cross-functional teams to deliver timely installations, preventive maintenance, corrective service, and technical project execution that enhances customer satisfaction and business continuity. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM), emergency repairs, and troubleshooting of medical devices in accordance with company service standards to ensure equipment reliability and customer satisfaction. Carry out installation, testing, commissioning, system verification, and acceptance of new medical devices, including providing customer orientation and basic operational training. Support equipment relocation, upgrades, decommissioning, and site readiness assessments to ensure smooth implementation and compliance with technical requirements. Coordinate and manage the technical aspects of customer implementation projects by working closely with Sales, Clinical Applications, and customers to ensure timely and successful project execution. Monitor project timelines, communicate progress to stakeholders, and support the planning and execution of installation and service-related activities. Provide technical consultation and product support to customers, biomedical engineers, and clinical users, while escalating complex technical issues when necessary and supporting continuous service improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate service reports, installed base records, technical documentation, service tools, test equipment, and spare parts inventory while ensuring compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety procedures. Collaborate with Regional Technical Service, Clinical Applications, Commercial teams, Regulatory Affairs (RA), Quality Assurance (QA), Supply Chain, and other internal stakeholders to support product upgrades, field corrective actions, and service-related projects. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing technical feedback, participating in quality improvement programs and technical training, and supporting the enhancement of products, services, and operational processes. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders by delivering responsive technical support, ensuring high service standards, and contributing to overall customer satisfaction. Requirements Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 2 years of experience in medical device field service or technical support, with hands-on experience in installation, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting of medical equipment. Experience supporting capital medical equipment is preferred, with knowledge of healthcare regulations and quality systems considered an advantage. Strong technical knowledge of medical device servicing, installation, testing, commissioning, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical documentation. Experience in technical project coordination with the ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure timely project execution. Excellent customer service, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and cross-functional teams.
