About this role
As an Assistant Engineer for the Catchment and Waterways Department, Reservoir Management Division, your main roles and responsibilities would include but not limited to: Upload enforcement case documents such as Facts of Case (FOC) into online system after confirmation by Investigation Officers (IOs), and provide user feedback to ensure the system meets the regulatory unit's operational requirements. Prepare and process warning letters and Notices of Offence (NoOs), verify with agencies on offender locations and updated addresses, monitor payments with Finance Division (FD), and serve reminder letters. Track non-payment by offenders, conduct house visits and escalate overdue cases for prosecution in accordance with Enforcement guidelines, and continue monitoring payments after escalation. Process appeals, partial payments, and exceptional cases, update online system with outcomes, and prepare prosecution documents for approval before submitting complete case files to Legal Office. Ensure online records are accurate and up to date, monitor case progress against required timelines, and ensure all enforcement, reminder, and prosecution actions comply with Enforcement guidelines and requirements. Diploma in Engineering or equivalent, preferably Civil/Structural/Environmental Preferably with at least 2-3 years of working experience Independent, meticulous, result-oriented, and self-driven team player with good communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications Able to effectively communicate and interact with members of the public on enforcement matters
