Job Title: Production Engineer – Payments System Platform About the Client Our client is an international firm specialising in information systems outsourcing and banking operations processing for private banking institutions. They provide their customers with an integrated banking platform and a full range of digital banking products and services, and handle back-office operations across several hubs in Europe and Asia, including Singapore. Their banking operations teams are recognised by customers and the market for the excellence of a unique, tailor-made service. The Role We are looking for a Production Engineer to ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of mission-critical payment platforms (instant payments, SWIFT, and more). This is a hands-on role at the heart of a high-availability, regulated payments environment. Key Responsibilities Deploy, manage, and optimise business applications for real-time payment systems (instant payments, remittances, cards, etc.) Streamline deployment processes with advanced CI/CD approaches using XLDeploy Manage, deploy, and orchestrate containers with Docker Administer application artifacts and dependencies via Nexus Ensure robust application and system monitoring through Splunk or Dynatrace Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents (log analysis, performance tuning, process recovery) Operate within Unix/Linux environments, automating tasks using advanced shell scripting Maintain, configure, and optimise web servers (Apache, NGINX, or equivalents) Proactively design and implement continuous improvements (quality, SRE, automation, incident reduction) Analyse and resolve Level 3 tickets on the payments stream Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 3–6 years' hands-on experience in production support of payment systems, DevOps, or application operations (preferably in Payments, FinTech, or Banking) Advanced knowledge of Unix/Linux system administration and shell scripting Strong hands-on expertise with Docker, XLDeploy, Nexus, and Splunk/Dynatrace Good grasp of web server architectures and microservices concepts Advantageous: VOLPAY, Jenkins, Ansible, GitLab CI, Kafka, RabbitMQ, REST APIs Profile Willingness to build expertise in managed payments operations Analytical mindset, technical curiosity, and strong problem-solving skills Good communication skills, service orientation, and team spirit
