Senior Business Analyst – Front Office Rates (Pre-Trade Platform)

Who we are Quanteam is a consulting firm specialised in banking, finance and financial markets. We are recruiting a Senior Business Analyst to join our Capital Markets practice in Singapore. Department and Team The role sits within a Capital Markets IT department focused on solutions related to Capital Markets: Front Office booking platforms, Risk Management control and regulatory reporting systems, financial product and contract valuation systems, and more. It is the department most directly exposed to the bank's financial operations. The Sales IT division works across the full value chain to sustain business activity and enable its acceleration, through integration of new financial products and the optimisation and automation of front-to-back business processes. Position This role aims to do business analysis on the Sales application, in project mode as well as maintenance, and to support the "run the bank" function. It requires a deep understanding of the nature of business operations, timing of activities and data flowing through internal and external systems. The build and support team continuously works with business users, infrastructure engineers and system managers. The Business Analyst will work on a pre-trade application used by Sales to pre-book and book Rates deals. Key activities include developing features that facilitate RFQ workflows between Sales and Traders, enabling efficient communication and deal negotiation. The role involves implementing real-time pricing, deal validation logic, and ensuring seamless integration with downstream booking systems. Close collaboration with Sales and Trading stakeholders is essential to enhance the RFQ experience and support the complete deal lifecycle. Main Responsibilities Business Requirement Analysis & Workshop Facilitation Organise and facilitate business workshops to collect and analyse requirements Collaborate with the Product Owner to prioritise and decompose requirements into detailed user stories Draft comprehensive Functional Specification documents with clear acceptance criteria Maintain traceability between business needs and technical implementation Process Analysis & Change Management Analyse existing business processes and define optimised target processes Identify process gaps and transformation opportunities Define change management needs and support organisational adoption Ensure alignment between process redesign and business objectives Data Analysis & System Integration Identify golden sources of data across the enterprise landscape Specify data mappings and transformations between systems Document data lineage and ensure data quality requirements Support data migration and reconciliation activities Application Mapping & Impact Analysis Map application flows and dependencies within the platform ecosystem Assess project impacts on upstream and downstream system integrations Coordinate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration Maintain documentation of system interfaces and data flows Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication Maintain regular contact with developers to ensure requirements are well understood and correctly implemented Act as liaison between business users and technical teams Provide L3 functional support for complex issues Foster collaboration between business stakeholders, Product Owner and development team Testing Strategy & Quality Assurance Define comprehensive testing strategy aligned with project scope Contribute user scenarios for BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) activities Participate actively in integration testing Organise and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions Assess functional change impacts on current production SLAs and OLAs Production Deployment & Support Participate in production start-up activities and go-live preparation Define functional prerequisites for deployment and post-deployment validation Deliver user training sessions and create training materials Ensure post-production follow-up and provide ongoing functional support Monitor production performance and gather user feedback for continuous improvement Knowledge Management & Team Enablement Build and maintain functional knowledge within the team in partnership with the PO Provide functional training and onboarding for new team members Maintain functional documentation and knowledge base for the application Research existing solutions to avoid duplication and promote reuse Qualifications and Profile The successful candidate will de…
