Regional Financial Accountant (Ifrs & Consolidation) #Hdc

Are you an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in financial reporting, IFRS, and month-end close? Join a dynamic regional finance team where you'll take ownership of financial closing, consolidation, audit coordination, and process improvements across multiple international entities. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the month-end and year-end financial closing, consolidation, and audit processes for multiple regional entities. Coordinate accounting activities with internal stakeholders and external shared service providers to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Partner closely with Finance, Treasury, and Tax teams to support business and statutory reporting requirements. Prepare and review account reconciliations, subledger reconciliations, accruals, and deferrals. Support payroll and pension accounting activities. Coordinate IFRS and local GAAP reporting requirements with external accounting partners where applicable. Liaise with external auditors and support the statutory audit process from planning through completion. Analyse financial results and provide insights on key balance sheet and profit & loss variances to management. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process simplification, automation, and operational efficiency within the finance function. Requirements Degree in Accounting or a related discipline with a strong understanding of IFRS. At least 3 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, closing, consolidation, and audit. Hands-on knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, accruals, and statutory accounting requirements. Experience working with shared service centres or external accounting service providers will be advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Collaborative team player who is comfortable working with regional and cross-functional stakeholders. Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is an advantage.
