Job Summary General Manager will provide overall strategic and operational leadership to drive business growth and performance for new ventures. This role is critical in ensuring accountability for the Profit & Loss (P&L), people development, and alignment with organisation long-term goals. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Execution: Shape and drive the strategic roadmap for new concept formats, from ideation to market launch and scale-up. Champion cross-functional collaboration across marketing, supply chain, operations, and corporate support functions. P&L and Financial Management: Maintain P&L accountability for the new ventures, holding ultimate financial responsibility and overseeing consistent operating performance improvement to strengthen support capacity. Organizational Alignment: Ensure strategic alignment of the new concepts with Food Services’ long-term goals and the overarching vision of the organization. Concept Roll-out and Ops Excellence: Lead the end-to-end rollout of new outlets, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and consistency in customer experience. Establish scalable systems, governance, and operating standards as the platform for future expansion. Complexity Management: Manage business complexity by establishing sophisticated operational and financial frameworks as new formats, such as Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), Restaurant, or Café, scale rapidly. Growth Acceleration & Innovation: Identify and capitalize on market opportunities, leveraging data and consumer insights to refine concept positioning. Drive innovation and digital integration (e.g. delivery platforms, loyalty programs, or tech-enabled convenience). Talent Development: Be responsible for people development by overseeing the creation of a strategic talent pipeline and implementing high-impact retention and engagement programs for the new concepts team. Foster a positive team culture by encouraging a growth mindset, continuous learning and collaborative working habits. Financial Controls: Oversee financial and operational governance, ensuring strong internal controls, accurate financial reporting, and the effective management of forecasting, budgeting, and capital planning. Requirements: Strategic Leadership: Proven track record in a strategic and operational leadership role, ideally managing new business ventures or complex growth trajectories. Strong communicator and collaborator able to influence stakeholders and drive change in a complex organization. Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated capability to manage P&L accountability and drive business performance. Industry Experience: Experience in the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry, particularly with exposure to new formats like QSR, Restaurant, or Café operations.
